actually looks like the flow via blip.tv to iTunes is not quite right to reach iPhones. Generally the format is too high-res. So I sent blip an email...maybe they will reply.

And, we did finally make contact with Google/YouTube and have a call set-up this week.

--------------Email to blip about iPhone format--

Guys-- your iTunes flow works swell-but not for iphone. All our little videos are trapped on iTunes and need to be converted by endusers--which is unlikely, even if they could figure it out. (use the Advanced menu btw and convert video one by one).

iPhone apparently needs tighter fit to h.264 plus some other down-res stuff: from their iphone specs:

Video playback

    * Video formats supported: H.264 video, up to 1.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Low-Complexity version of the H.264 Baseline Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; H.264 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Baseline Profile up to Level 3.0 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats

Pls advise how best we can send to iPhones, which is about 99.9999% of the reason to send to iTunes anyway.

Regards, Jon
